B ULGARIAN Orthodox monasticism, at the beginning of the third millennium of Christ, is in extremely poor condition.

Preza 1934 was unto these monastery 34 monks and 175 nuns;
preza 1935 - 37 monks and 177 nuns; preza 1936 26 monks and 208 nuns.
toward gornitѣ, Monastir trѣbna to four dobavyata stavropigiyalni (jurisdiction directly to St. Sinody) monastery:
co rilskiyata 39 monks (thy tѣha 22 clergy) and 5 novice;
co bachkovskiyata 21 monks (thy tѣha 9 clerics) and 2 novice;
and co troyanskiyata 13 monks (thy which 10 clergy) and 10 novice and
kurilovskoto female monk. Brotherhood Bѣla krasta "co four nuns and one novice.
So preza 1936 a monastery of 105 co 99 monks and 212 nuns, a total of 311.
Preza 1890 there were 184 monks and 346 nuns, all 530.
Preza 1918 - 147 monks and 109 nuns, all 256.
Preza 1924 - 143 monks (co poslushnitsitѣ) and 153 nuns (co poslushnichkitѣ), all 296. Co
